84th Annual Glazer Institute Interfaith Forum
Deeply honored to serve as the 84th Scholar-in-Residence at the Glazer Institute Interfaith Forum—the longest-running interfaith program in the United States. Many thanks to Mark and Manya Glazer and Temple Beth El for sustaining this remarkable tradition. Established in 1943, during some of the darkest days the world has known, the program has been held every year since.
My talk focused on writing sacred music in both Jewish and Christian traditions—the differences, the shared threads, and what I learned in the process of writing someone else’s prayer. It reinforced for me that music and song can serve as a true bridge—connecting traditions, perspectives, and people in ways that words alone often cannot.
